During the hot months, we've been staying inside and adding new teeth to the web site at a pretty fast rate.  Check it out by clicking here.

06-25-06 --- Honestly, there's no point in continuing this diary during the summer months.  Temps have been well over 100 degrees for several days now.  Hopefully by sometime in September temps will work their way back down.  There may be an occasional cool day that I make it to the hill.  If there's any news, I'll include it here.  Otherwise, while I'm waiting out the summer, I'll be working to re-establish routine auctions at eBay and putting some of the AMAZING teeth I've found on the web site.  Have a fun summer.  You can read about some of our "adventures" a couple years ago by clicking the link called "Adventures" in the red stripe, above.

MOST
RECENT

08-11-06 --- I noticed a little visitor in the back of my truck today, when I opened the tailgate to put something in there.  Fortunately, I saw her before I stuck my hand in her web.  There are all kinds of fun critters here in the desert.  When I get back into a routine of daily diggin', I'll try to capture some images of other critters I encounter, including snakes, poisonous centipedes, scorpions, other spiders and the ever-present lizard.

10-23-06 --- I've had a chance to do some digging at some new locations, which produce much lighter colored teeth.  Getting back into the routine will be slightly more difficult that I anticipated.  I'm recovering from some back problems that have nagged me my whole life and have flared up.

I'm feeling good enough to do some digging, but trying to take it easy.

I'm feeling stronger and beginning to be more active.  I've had a couple chances now to dig on some local private land, which has produced nice quality, lighter colored teeth - not a lot of big teeth, but many smaller, jewelry-sized teeth.  I'm anxious to re-start my regular dig at the colorful site.  That big, gorgeous meg is still waiting for me.
