A "transitional" form exists in the fossil record, between Isurus hastalis (Big-Tooth Mako) and Carcharodon carcharias (Great White).  It currently has no name, other than "transitional" Great White.  The teeth have "developing" serrations.  Near the root, the serrations look similar to the Great White, but sometimes appear more jagged and irregular.  As you proceed toward the tip though, the serrations become much smaller, sometimes disappearing completely.  As rare as these teeth are, we are able to offer you a surprisingly good selection below.
