Description - This is a super sharp tooth, with great tips on the blade and side cusps (cusplets).  The blade edges are sharp and have very little damage.  The only real draw-back to this tooth is the fact that the right side of the root was broken off and re-attached.  There is also less than normal enamel splitting and little damage to the surface of the root and bourlette.

SIZE MATTERS - Neither of the teeth in the photo to the right are included with this listing.  They are shown for demonstration purposes only.  As you may know, most Otodus obliquus teeth on the market are around 1 to 1 1/2 inches.  Occasionally you can find a larger tooth that measures 2 inches, or perhaps a bit larger.  The small tooth in the photo to the right IS one of those larger teeth, measuring 2 1/4 inches.  The tooth on the right measures 3 inches.  As you can see, a little increase in size (just 3/4 inch in this case), can make a big difference in how massive the tooth appears.  Click here for a scientific explanation of why that is.
