Description - This very large Chilean Megalodon tooth is embedded in a very hard chunk of natural matrix, from which it was excavated. In the last photo, you will see two very small additional shark teeth that are also exposed at the surface of the matrix chunk. The meg has some damage, including a broken tip and a piece of the blade edge that is missing. On VERY close inspection, I believe I can see evidence that the entire specimen (tooth and matrix) was broken in two pieces and reattached. Had I not told you, you may have never noticed it.
